Fish the Current River for Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Smallmouth Bass. A Great Missouri Fishing Vacation!
 Walk-in Trips: The Blue Ribbon section of Missouri's Current River has excellent Brown Trout fishing with fair numbers of Rainbow Trout and Smallmouth Bass and is best fished by wading. With last year's changes in trout fishing regulations (18" length limit, previously 15" and possession limit decreased from 3 fish to 1) this excellent fishery should get even better.
Your trip can be customized by fishing the holes near access points or by hiking 30 minutes or more into the remote and less fished backcountry, or we can access these more remote areas by canoe.
Fishing on the White Ribbon section can be very good for Rainbow Trout and Smallmouth Bass. From Akers Ferry to Two Rivers Smallmouth fishing can be very good, especially below Round Spring. The summer months are the optimum time since fishing this section avoids the high canoe traffic and low summer water levels of the upper river.

I release all fish and strongly encourage using barbless hooks.
